MAC Layin’ Low Pro Longwear Paint Pot (23.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a darker peach with warm undertones and a matte finish. MAC Paint Pots don’t dry out, at least mine that are a year old are still super creamy. It has a long wand with more teeth concentrated at the top, and it looks promising. So I haven’t worn it yet, but as soon as I feel better, I will be dying to try this new for me shade as well as the sample mascara that I got: MAC In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash. Right now, I’m still not feeling that great, and I’m Layin’ Low. And when I compared the two shades, they are definitely different enough. When I first opened Layin’ Low, I wondered if it was different enough from Painterly. Definitely a shade that will suit me with my red hair. When it arrived, it looked less like “creamy beige” and more like browned peach like the swatch I saw online. I chose Layin’ Low, described as “creamy beige”. Thermolon Diamond-infused Ceramic Nonstick Coating Interchangeable Plates for Griddle, Grill and Waffle Open and Lay Flat Design for Multi-surface Grilling. Now, MAC offers 7 shades, a mix of mattes, pearls and shimmers. So when MAC decided to throw in free shipping, I ordered online and took a chance on the shade I chose. The sales associate told me that they weren’t allowed to offer the discount. I had planned to go to Macy’s to look at the actual shades of Paint Pots, but I called first to see if they had them in stock. So I better keep buying them if I want them to remain around. Maybe I’m one of the few who loves cream shadows. In fact, I wish I had known they were on sale for $13 on Nordstrom Rack where they’re now just about sold out except for black and brown. Recently I noticed that MAC decreased the number of Paint Pots shades rather substantially, boo. I also bought Antique Diamond, a sparkly silver grey shade. Originally, I bought Painterly, the pale pink nude cream shadow reviewed here, that makes a wonderful base or a nice everyday shade to wear on its own. Time for me to add to my collection of Paint Pots. The Paint Pots are creamy, highly pigmented, long wearing, easy to apply and blend cream shadows that are perfect for my dry lids. Seamless coverage without weight or caking blends smoothly over the lids.
